The pups are now 9 days old and growing very nicely.  They have all doubled their birth weight and are looking good.  We let them romp around the backyard in the shade today as they are not very appreciated of this heat we are having!

Kaiah's first litter is here!

I would like to introduce our newest members of the family!  

Rather than just calling them puppy 1 and puppy 2, we had been thinking of names for weeks already and named each of the pups.  These aren't names they will have to keep for life, but it just makes it easier on our kids and us to remember each of them.

There are 5 girls and 2 boys, and they all weigh within 5 ounces of each other.  

Kaiah, it turns out, is a natural at this whole mothering job, she is just fantastic at it.

Patiently waiting for the babies to arrive!

 As we had hoped (and planned) Kaiah has become pregnant by Storm and now we are patiently awaiting the arrival of the puppies.  The kids (....and Kaiah) are getting a little bit impatient with the impending puppy arrival and so we took some photos and had a little fun!
